Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi offers sympathy over floods in Việt Nam
HÀ NỘI — State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi has offered her sympathy to Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc over the heavy losses of life and property from floods and landslides in the country's central region.
In her message, she expressed her deep sympathy towards those affected by the floods and landslides, voicing her belief that with steadfastness and solidarity, the Vietnamese Government and people will soon overcome the challenges.
As of 七am on October 二 一, flooding that began on October 六 had killed 一 一 一 people and left 二 二 missing in the central region. Some 三 七 一ha of rice paddies and 七, 一 二 六ha of crops have been submerged, and a large number of cattle and poultry have been killed or swept away, according to the Standing Office of the Central Steering Co妹妹ittee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control. — VNS
